Pantry/BEdroom Closet - November 2022

It’s very scary hiring blindly off the internet, but I got lucky with B & J Cabinets. I needed some cabinets to match some existing, original cabinets that I loved, and they did a fantastic job. I also wanted a pantry/broom closet and they made it exactly how I wanted. Actually, better! Can’t wait to get them painted and start using them!

Kitchen Remodel - November 2022

I won't be going anywhere else for custom cabinets. Jim made the entire process easy (or as easy as it could've been), and offered his own input and suggestions to help us rebuild our kitchen to be both beautiful and functional. These guys have decades of experience, and it absolutely shows. Kitchen Remodel - September 1989

33 years ago we remodeled our kitchen. 4 kids and 8 grandchildren later I still have not a had to have them fixed. No cracks or breakage. Outstanding craftsman.

Kitchen Cabinetry - August 2022

Jim Gohrick and his team at B & J Cabinets did an incredible job. In addition to building and installing custom cabinets for our kitchen, they gave crucial advice and references we needed to get it all done. After everything was installed and painted, he continued to follow up and ensure we were completely satisfied. When I complained about a problem, he immediately drove over, inspected the problem, and got it addressed.

While the pictures look great, what they won't tell you is all of the work they put in to ensure everything came out perfectly. From the very beginning of the project, Jim worked with us to design the layout of the kitchen. He helped us brainstorm on how to make the best use of our space and pick the shaker door style. In addition to the kitchen cabinets in the pictures, they built the cabinets for a walk in pantry.

He connected us with references for getting: - the counter top and backsplash installation - the cabinets finished (panted) - hardware installed

Bathroom and Kitchen Remodel - July 2022

We decided to finally do some additional remodeling in our lovely home. A few of the most important areas that was truly in need of some TLC was our front bathroom and kitchen. We automatically knew to contact Jim over at B & J Custom Cabinets. B & J have done a wonderful job each time they have done work on our home. Their employees are always on time, professional and work hard to get the job done in a timely manner. Jim has to be the most authentic and trust worthy individual in the industry. His ability to produce the most beautiful product is without parallel. B & J is a family own business, and I promise you that they treated us like we have been close family for years. Everyone who sets foot in our house is beyond impressed, and immediately asks who did the work. B & J created some of the most intricate designs that are worthy of a spot within architecture museums... NO JOKE! Literally the best work I have come across. They even build us a custom vanity that exceeded our expectations.

Custom Cabinetry - February 2022

Jim & team did an amazing job on a set of custom cabinets for our home. We had lower cabinets + floating shelves made for our living room, a custom master bath vanity, and a few other cabinets/floating shelves created throughout the house. Jim was professional throughout the entire process, seamlessly working with our interior designer on design & plans, coming out all the way out to the other side of LA for site inspections/measurements, providing advice on cabinet height, depth, and design, and ensuring that installs went smoothly. The quality of our cabinets and shelves are incredible; definitely worth the additional spend to invest in a higher quality product that not only looks better than a pre-fab build, but also much more durable. For example, our living room cabinets are custom width and are perfectly symmetrical; whereas with a prefab build we would have some awkward spacing to deal with. Even with all of the supply chain issues and starting the project right around the Christmas holidays, the total time from design to install was much shorter than expected (~3 months, with some delays from our side!).

Bathroom Closet Cabinetry - August 2021

I have used B&J Cabinets on a number of jobs as a General Contractor. I couldn't be happier with the whole process and the product. My client on the recent project we completed ( 2 Bathrooms, Linen Closet) ,was working with a decorator who was very detail oriented. When the cabinets were delivered, installed, and painted, the client, decorator, and myself were very pleased. I would highly recommend B&J Cabinets.

Kitchen Cabinetry - September 2021

When we moved into our house we found the B & J Cabinet sticker under a drawer. We needed some minor repair to some drawers. We took a chance and called the number only to find out they were still around. Jim (Owner) came out and took care of the issues. When the cabinet master (Skip) delivered the modified drawer back to us we were surprised to learn that one of the previous original owners of B & J lived in this house.

We decided to remodel and add a laundry/mud room and full bath so we obviously called Jim to have the cabinets built to match our kitchen cabinets. The craftsmanship and attention to detail was superior. We were amazed that they were able to custom design and fit the cabinets to our dimensions while maintaining the original look of the existing adjacent cabinets. The quality of the cabinets are top notch. We are extremely satisfied and pleased with all aspects of the process during these difficult and trying times. Thanks again to Jim, Skip and the entire team at B & J Custom Cabinets!!

Bathroom Vanity - August 31, 2020

Nothing but a great experience with Jim at B&J Custom Cabinets. Jim came through for us during our master bath renovation. I'm sure he's used to much larger projects, but he built us a custom dual 110" long vanity for us exactly the way we wanted it. His communication is awesome. I basically sent him some pictures of what I was looking for in the vanity, and he managed to not only meet the expectations, but managed to leave his personal touch. He even managed to push our small project up in his schedule because he knew we were really hoping for a quick a turn around. Definitely look forward to working with him again.

Pegfair Cabinetry and Built In - July 16, 2020

We just replaced all our old cabinets and Jim at B&J Cabinets were so wonderful to work with. He was clearly very knowledgeable, willing and patient to explain differences in cabinets, and the cabinets were absolutely beautiful! They were able to customize the cabinets exactly the way I wanted and worked in a very timely manner. The quality was great and the workers were all so considerate, careful and very detail oriented. I am so happy with the work and the beautiful kitchen I now have to enjoy.

From project inception, to execution and completion, he was with us every step of the way and was readily available to answer questions, provide insight and give direction. The end result were cabinets of incredibly high quality an durable build. The carpentry was second to none, and we're so glad we went with all custom rather than pre-fab or semi-custom. We're so happy with our kitchen and forward to the many years it will serve at the "true living room" of our home!
